At the far end of the 18+ Library, past Horror, Politics and Personal Trauma, a red curtain opens onto its fourth room. Sensual & Intimate is the candlelit wing of The Poetic Land: a place for sensual poetry and dark romance, written by adult writers for adult readers, with heat and with care.
A wing dressed in crimson
The wing has a mood all its own. Deep crimson against the dark, velvet curtains, rose petals drifting down the page, and love letters sealed in red wax. Soft music plays in the background, and an Audio switch turns it off whenever you prefer to read in silence. Like every 18+ page, the wing opens with an age check first: it is for readers who are 18 or older.
Choose your letter
The rooms of the wing are four bundles of letters, tied in red ribbon. Break a seal and step in:
- Sensual Poetry: Where Words Touch. Intimate, rhythmic poetry written to be read slowly, out loud, at night.
- Dark Romance: Where Love Consumes. Stories of forbidden love, obsession, power and longing that will not let go.
- Erotic Fiction: coming soon.
- Audio Erotica: coming soon.
Beneath the letters, Freshly sealed keeps the newest writings of the wing within reach, and a quiet note waits between the shelves.
Find the mood you are in
Each room has its own search and its own filters. In Sensual Poetry, search the verses or pick a mood such as Desire, Intimacy, Night or Love. In Dark Romance, search the stories or select a motif. Cards show their moods, the writer and the reading time, and each list shows up to four rows at a time, with numbered pages for the rest.
The wing’s header keeps everything close: a Back button, the way to the 18+ Library, your Saved writings and the rooms of the wing. On phones, all of it sits inside the ☰ menu.
Save it, and discuss it
Every writing in the wing has a Save button in crimson, so you can keep it in your Saved list, and a Discuss this on TPL Feed link to talk about it with other readers on TPL Feed.
What belongs here
Sensual & Intimate is for writing about desire, longing and closeness between adults. It welcomes heat, tension and tenderness, as long as it stays literary:
- Every character is an adult, and every encounter is consensual.
- Suggest, don’t describe: no graphic or explicit sexual acts.
- Your own original work, in English.
- No real people.
Leave a letter for these shelves
Writers submit through the 18+ submission form. Choose a poem or a story, pick Sensual Poetry or Dark Romance as the section, add your title and your writing, and attach a cover image: a wide picture, about 1200 × 630 px, that is your own or one you have the rights to use, with no nudity or explicit content.
Then choose how you appear. Show my name puts your name or pen name on the writing. Hide my name shows readers only a blurred writer card that says “The writer’s name is withheld for privacy.” Pen names are welcome, and your email is never published.
