Shipping & Delivery Policy

1.What we deliver

The Poetic Land (“TPL”) offers two kinds of things:

• Digital services, such as entry into competitions. These are delivered online; nothing is posted.
• Physical books, by pre-order: hard copies (paperback) of our anthology Peace After Pain, and books featured in our book reviews (for example Rashidul Alom’s book). Books featured in book reviews are available in India only.

2.How book pre-orders work

Books are ordered through the pre-order form on the book’s page. No payment is taken online at this time. After you send the form, our team contacts you on WhatsApp or email to confirm your order, the payment and your delivery address. Your order is placed only after you confirm it with us.

3.Shipping charges

• India: shipping is included in the price shown.
• International (Peace After Pain only): shipping is charged extra. We tell you the shipping cost when we contact you, before you pay.

4.Dispatch and delivery times

Dispatch timelines are announced when a book is released. For Peace After Pain, release and shipping dates will be announced after submissions close.

5.Soft copies (e-books)

Soft copies (e-books) are sent by email after the book is released, to the email address you gave in your pre-order. Nothing is posted for a soft copy.

6.Damaged, lost or missing parcels

If your book arrives damaged, or does not arrive, please write to support@thepoeticland.com with your name, order details and, for a damaged parcel, a photo. We will look into it and help you.

7.Delivery of your competition entry

When your payment is successful, your entry is confirmed on screen straight away and a confirmation is sent to the email address you gave, immediately or within 24 hours. Your entry is then reviewed under that competition’s published rules and dates.

If you have not received a confirmation within 24 hours, please check your spam or promotions folder first, then contact us with your payment details (see Contact us).

8.Certificates and results

Certificates are digital (for example a PDF or image) and are sent by email or made available on the website. Results are announced on thepoeticland.com and our official channels on the dates given in each competition’s announcement.

9.Prizes and gifts

Some competitions may announce a prize or gift for winners. Prizes are not part of what you pay for. How and when any prize is given is stated in that competition’s announcement, and we may ask winners for the details needed to deliver it.

10.Where we deliver

Competition entries can be made from anywhere in the world through the website. Payments for competitions are taken in Indian Rupees (INR, ₹) through Razorpay. Hard copies of Peace After Pain can be delivered in India and internationally; books featured in book reviews are delivered in India only; e-books are sent by email anywhere.
