TPL Poetry Competition

About the competition

The TPL Poetry Competition gives poets a stage to share their work and be recognised by The Poetic Land community. Each season ends with winners chosen by TPL and a feature on the site about every winning poem and the poet behind it.

Season 1 was won by Sweta Das from Goalpara, Assam, for her poem “Guilt”, a poem of existential awareness that looks directly at the quiet crises of modern life. In Season 2, the honoured poems spoke about the nation: a soldier’s farewell to his mother, India’s unity in diversity, gratitude to those who won its freedom, and a young child’s call to be a good citizen.
