The end you seek — by Akshra

By

You can’t see it though it lingers around you
wrapped delicately in black silk
waiting every moment for you
sometimes you feel its presence
when it unravels itself to you.
It snickers, it giggles, it waits
one mistake, one tragedy, one desperate maw
all it takes.
Everyday you feel it, you fear it, you want it
to leave you alone yet
In the end if it spares you
you are the one to beg.
Its the tragedy of tragedies
yet it can free you from your greatest tragedy
You live, you feel, you see
yet in the end its you
who want it to seek you, take you
wishing to hold onto the pieces of life
stolen under its nose.
