Garbage- by Sayeda Iqra Fatima (the poetic land)

ABSTRACT: Garbage is a reflective essay written from a child's perspective that draws attention to the often-overlooked lives of garbage workers. The essay highlights the hardships they face daily, including unpleasant working conditions, social neglect, and lack of appreciation for their essential service. Through simple observations and emotional reflections, the writer encourages readers to show empathy, respect, and gratitude toward sanitation workers. The essay emphasizes the dignity of labour and reminds society that every worker deserves humane treatment regardless of their profession. Ultimately, it serves as a heartfelt call for compassion, social awareness, and recognition of the people who help keep our communities clean and healthy.

I doubt if any body will read this fully, I am writting about GARBAGE workers —

If the garbage workers do not come for two or three days we complain, we get angry, we even use bad words. but do we ever think about their Pain.

They sit in garbage the whole day; they move it from one place to another. We cannot bear the smell for even a minute; we cannot stand if an insect touches us. But they work with those insects. Every single day. They also have a family; they are Parents first; they have children. who wait for them, just like we wait for our Parents. I am a child too. Every day, my dad and mom drops me to school.

Their children must feel the same. They must miss Their Parents. Too. Do not complain immediately. They are not working in offices. They cannot send emails. You can’t treat People like garbage and worship (ALLAH) God at the same time.

Before you complain about the taste of your food. Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

GARBAGE—by Syeda Iqra Fatima(The Poetic Land )

Dirty hands are a sign of clean money. Respect those people who earn less but with honesty. They are not just garbage workers; they are real heroes of India.

"Dirty hands are a sign of clean money."
